Maybe you have to set your BIOS to boot from the CD?

I installed using FTP. DHCP in FreeBSD setup program has been working fine for me. Are you sure your network interface is supported?

ok manage to install from dhcp now, but now when i gonna install i get an error message like this
Message
Write failure on transfer! (wrote -1 bytes of 1457152 bytes)
then i press ok
then this shows up
User Confirmation Requested

ftp://ftp.se.freebsd.org

Do you want to try to retrive it again ?
YES NO

Do you have the images on cd? If so, it isnt that hard of an install. Here are some tips. 1: when you start your computer, hold down delete, f2, or f10 i beleive, try delete first. This will take you to your bios settings. Make sure that it says Boot from cdrom. Then save and exit. 2: pop in the cd and go, its not too bad of an install, it will walk you through it. Hope i helped..... -nolan
