ok
Your system can not boot - it can't find the boot program. It may not have Solaris 8 installed on it.
When you see the "ok" prompt, you are at the bootprom level.
Options: boot, boot -s, boot cdrom, boot cdrom -s
Boot - attempt boot from default disk
boot -s - attempt boot from default disk into single user mode
(Neither of these would work for you right now since the default disk doesn't seem to be bootable)
boot cdrom - attempts boot from cdrom - hopefully it isn't a music cd in there!
boot cdrom -s - attempt booting from cdrom into single user mode (this is normally used when in trouble)
If so, then do you have the Solaris 8 installation disks?
Post back and maybe we can assist you further.
Do you have a cdrom on this system?
