Question Printing Utility
Hi

I am looking for a printing utility option, which assist unix/linux administrator to control printing jobs. The major concerns are

Assigning the particular printer and queue to a user profile
Option to change the queue or printer for a particular printer job
Option to change the printing range like from page to page, No of copies etc
Holding a particular job, queue, printer
Save the print file after print

You could have a look at CUPS to see if it fits your needs:

Hi Khalid,

I am afraid it's important to know which OS you are talking about. Some OS'es have such a tool built-in.

Please let us know which OS('es) you are talking about.

Linux to Windows Printing: PDF starts printing from middle of page.

We are using Red Hat. We have a issue like this: We want to print from Linux, to a printer attached to a Windows machine. What we want to print is a PDF.
