Error need help making a script executable
making a script in vi to create a shell script called wherearethey by entering the following script:
echo -n "Who are you looking for: "read userif [ -n $user ]then list=`w | grep $user | cut -c19-30` if [ "$list" != "" ] then echo "The user $user is logged in from $list" else echo "The user $user is not logged in now" fifi how to I make the script executable and run the script. ???? is just tell me what to add

curtner/home/wherearethey path if needed

chmod +x <scriptname>

then

sh <scriptname> or ./<scriptname> to run the script
