Remote access from Windows 2000 into Solaris 8


I am looking for the easiest solution that will let me remote access from a Windows 2000 client into a Solaris 8 server. Any suggestions?

sure... open the dos prompt and use a "telnet" session. if you would like a more secure communication, you should use sshd on solaris and a ssh client (like putty) on windows...

I am able to telnet into my solaris server and use CLI. However, I need to open a remote session to access the GUI application functions. Will sshd and ssh do this for me?

no and yes. if you have a x11 server on your windows system -> yes. otherwise no... maybe you should give vnc a look!
