I have run the following command : od -c Results_May18.fixrank | head
Here is the result. I wanted the results in tab delimited. Thanks

You have tabs in your od output. I do not see any \n (newline) characters. So, I'm guessing it is already tab-delimited. In order for a file to be treated by UNIX or Linux as a text file, tab-delimited, it needs to have newline characters, too.

How did you create the file? And while we're at it please mention your shell and your Unix name version if you want the best possible answer.
Code:
uname -a

produces this for you.

Welcome to the forum.

Please make sure to open threads in an adequate forum. I'll move this one for you...

Please also take the time to carefully specify / explain your problem. From what you show it's not clear what you are talking about. Do you want the od output "tab delimited", and what do you mean by this, the columns separated by <TAB>s? Or do you want Results_May18.fixrank's contents "tab delimited" - which it seems to be, BTW.
