Launch veritas netbackup

Hello - I already have Veritas netbackup installed on Mac OS. But I am not able to find the daemon name for running the backup. Does anyone know How to run netbackup?

Thank you!

I believe that the command for actually running a Netbackup backup is 'bpbackup'. But you should really refer to some documentation to check what options need to be supplied and such.

-EDIT
Check this (sun.com link) out. You can browse for documents specific to your version of Netbackup.

Unless its the netbackup master/server you dont run them manually (well you can if you're a nebtbackup cmdline guru Smilie), they're already listening (on /etc/inetd.conf: bpcd,vnetd,vopied,bpjava-msvc,bprd) request from the server side which is initiating backups.
If you're talking about starting netbackup on the server, on a older version of it, it goes like:
Code:
#ltid
#initbprd

Good luck.

You'd need serious levels of guru-ness to fire off backups from the command line!!
