crypt question

Hi,
does anyone know if the output from crypt can include control caracters or only ascii caracters ?
I want to mail a crypt encoded file and i want to know if i have
to uuencode the file first or not .

Yes it can. What's more the output is not a set of lines. It will be rare for the last character in the file to be a new-line character. You will need to uuencode.
