Mail going to /var/spool/mqueue instead of being sent

I see the following error
mailhost.dbd.com: host name lookup failure

When I try to execute
# /usr/lib/sendmail -q -v

thank you

or

# /usr/lib/sendmail -OQueueLA=100 -q -v
Edit/Delete Message

Hi,
I have warning when I run
/usr/lib/sendmail -q -v
Warning: .cf file is out of date: sendmail 8.11.7p3+Sun supports version 9, .cf file is version 8

Have you ever seen that before?

Try putting mailhost.dbd.com in /etc/hosts with its IP address (or into your DNS if that is how your site runs).

mail is not sent, instead just coping into /var/spool/queue dir

Hi, I have some problems w/ the sendmail. I see that messages are queued in the /var/spool/mqueue and they are never sent to the recipients. This problem just suddenly started without any modifications in the current configuration. I already started and stop the sendmail and it did not help.... (3 Replies)

I keep having this msg on my SunOS console : Jun 29 08:57:40 bersimis sendmail: NOQUEUE: low on space (have 0, SMTP-DAEMON needs 101 in /var/spool/mqueue) I tried to make some space by deleting the files in it, but the msg came back ... Any tips ? Thanks (3 Replies)
