Data a BIG problem

dear experts ...help Smilie
I'm running FC2 and i was installing fluxbox but it wouldnt work so i uninstalled it by using rpm -e but because i installed fluxbox-styles it was dependent on fluxbox-0.10 so i used rpm -e --nodeps that was all fine and im not sure that was the cause of the error, but when i logged back on it came up with this error msg

Code:
/etc/X11/gdm/PreSession/Default: registering your session with wtmp and tmp
running /usr/bin/X11/Sessreg -a -w /var/log/wtmp -u /var/run/utmp -x "/var/gdm:0.xservers" -h "" -I ":o" "zeeman"

this means im entierly locked out my system :S and the only way to login is by failsafe session
and i dont hae a clue how to fix if you have any advice that would be extremely helpful.
thanks in advance.

Have you tried pressing Ctrl+Alt+F1 (or Ctrl+Alt+F2, etc) and trying to change to another virtual console and logging in there to fix your problem?

You could always (while you're fixing the problem with X) login under failsafe and change the value of initdefault in /etc/inittab to boot into runlevel 3 instead of 5 whilst you're trying to repair your system.

Cheers
ZB
