/dev/shm space in red hat linux

I am using redhat linux machine and oracle11g version.

/dev/shm shows 88%. Will this be freed automatically? OR should i clean any files?

Only when you shutdown/stop Oracle.

fpmurphy, thanks for your response. I don't have any plan to shutdown at this moment. But does this impact anything now?

Currently there won't be any impact,However,when you try to start some other APP you may get a shm errors.

It also means you're out 11 gigs of RAM of course.
