server will not boot

Just got a new sun fire v440 server, try to boot server but server will not boot, got the following error message.
"the file just loaded does not appear to be excutedable"
boot: cannot open /kernel/sparcv9/unix
Enter filename /kernel/sparcv9/unix

I thought maybe server is not pre install with OS, so I try to jumpstart server but I kept getting this error messages:
"timeout waiting for ARP/RARP packet requesting ip for 0:4:cc:55:b2:a1"

the mac address is in my jumpstart /etc/ethers.

I also try boot from cd-rom
ok: boot cdrom -s

but received the error message
boot: cannot open /kernel/sparcv9/unix
Enter filename /kernel/sparcv9/unix

Can you help, please.

If this is a new server, I take it you have taken out support, with SUN, when you bought it. Get in touch with them. they should be able to sort the problem out quickly.

Thanks
the version of my solaris 9 is not support on v440, only solaris 9 version 9 12/03 onward are support are on v440.

I download the latest version of solaris 9 and I was able to jumpstart my v440 with the latest version of solaris 9.

thanks again
