copying oracle tables from raw disk

I have been tasked with archiving Oracle tables. The data is on raw devices, and possibly will span multiple logical volumes.

Has anyone ever had to do this? How did you accomplish it?

Any references to accomplish this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

use the built in archiveing tools for your version of oracle.

then you can use what ever method you want to get it on removeable media.

As Optimus_P states, take a look at Oracle facilities. Read up on exporting tabkes and/or schemas. Here is an a similar discussion board for Oracle just in case you may ever need it. To sign up
