sys-unconfig doesn't work after reboot

Hi All!

I'm running "Solaris 10 10/08 s10s_u6wos_07b SPARC" on M5000.

I ran sys-unconfig and after the machine rebooted the system did not prompt me for configuration info (system name, ip address, etc). I have also modified /etc/.sysIDtool.state changing all "1" to "0" and touch /etc/.UNCONFIGURED and reboot with same result.

I 've rebooted several times now with the same result. Smilie

Has anyone run into this before? What did you do to correct it?

Thanks!!

I resolved this issue!

I "cloned" the boot disk from another M5000 which I had also install Veritas Storage Foundation (aka Veritas Volume Manager). I found entries in /etc/vfstab for the old VxVM volumes I had created. These entries were causing errors during the boot process. I removed those "/dev/vx/..." entries and rebooted. Then I got prompted for system information.

Case closed. Smilie
