NOTICE: e1000g1/0 registered in messages

Please can anyone tell me what these messages I found in /var/adm/messages for six T2000 servers this morning? The systems are all operating okay, but I am wondering what it means (extract follows)

no worries, these are not errors. they are just kernel specific informational messages.Smilie

Question

Thanks, relief, but why all of a sudden would they give these types of messages?

It could be the NIC card/driver issue. Anyway, just check i your /etc/inet/ipnodes file has your hostname and IP in it. If not, edit the file to add those, and you have to reboot your server , so that you might not see those messages popping out now and then.. And as mentioned, its nothing critical to worry abt and its a question mark if you could get the downtime to do so..Smilie

And as long as you don't see these typeof messages, you're safe...
