windows (hyperterm/teraterm) didnt seem to want to work for me, so i used another unix box. if you have another unix box, check out /etc/remote so that its 9800,8,none,1,none for hardwire (you can look up exact syntax for settings with google). i have a unix box with a serial port. i used this serial port to tip into my other unix box (netra t1). i used a roll-over cable (like the light blue one that comes with cisco devices) and plugged that into 'serial a' on the netra. you may need to issue a #. to get into the lom. from here, you can use console to log in.

I don't have a Unix box. I've tried on a Linux box with minicom and had the nsame problem. The cable that i used was made from the pinout that is on Netra manual. Anyone know's with this problem happen?

Hello.

I've found the solution to my problem. The cable that i build from the schematic has a problem in the transmition pin. I've used a Cisco console cable and now i can transmit commands to the sun.

If anyone is in the same situation try a Cisco cable.
