Hi everyone,
I have a Solaris machine:
SunOS 5.10 Generic_127127-11 sun4v sparc SUNW,SPARC-Enterprise-T5220
After reboot, I can't ssh to this machine. Error message:
ssh: connect to host xxxx port 22: Connection refused

I have installed Solaris 11 Express on my machine. I have problems trying to reboot the computer remotely.
When I log to the local console as the root-user and run
reboot
everything is fine.

I have a bunch of Solaris servers that are running Netbackup as a client. I set them up and my backup admin has confirmed that they are being backed up. But what I want to be able to do is run a command from each Solaris client to see some proof from the client side that the files... (1 Reply)

We have a Solaris 8 machine which is a Netbackup 5.0 clinet.
Backups have been running fine. Today I see in dmesg that "bpcd/tcp: bind: Address already in use" error
bpcd which is backup clinet deamon listens on port 13782 as stated in /etc/services

I have a Windows 2000 Terminal, which I want to convert into Solaris 10. I am connected to windows terminal remotely via iLO and then inserted the solaris DVD in my local drive. Now when I connect to Windows machine from 'RDP' - I can see local DVD in there - and IF I then reboot remote machine... (1 Reply)

Currently I use root to perform backup / monitoring ...etc .
Can I create a user call "backup" and perform the same task
