Install solaris 2.6 on Enterprise 420R
I am needing to install solaris 2.6 on a Enterprise 420R with 4X450mHz. Documentation says you need Operating Enviroment Installation CD February 2000(704-7076-10). Does anyone know where I can get this?

hot-plug operation. The hot-plug feature of the system's internal disk drives permits
the removal and installation of drives while the system is operational.
You can download the patch from the SunSolve Online™ Public Patch Page Access

Click on Patches and follow the links for Solaris 2.6. If you have any questions,
contact your Sun Microsystems™ sales or service representative for assistance in
downloading the patch.

I have Solaris 2.6 5/98 but when I do "boot cdrom" from ok prompt I get "boot: cannot open kernel/unix Enter filename [kernel/unix]:".

1. Can you install any other version from that CD-ROM drive?

2. Are you sure you can read that CD-ROM disk?

3. Can you do a net install?

1. Yes I can install Solaris 8 10/01.

2. The Solaris 2.6 disk was used previously to install to Ultra 2.

3. I can try to do net install but still thinking I need disk 704-7076-10 because Solaris 2.6 came out before introduction of 420r server. Maybe the installer needed updating for this machine type. I found on internet that this disk necessary for installation of 2.6.
