CMOS settings on SUN V20Z from Solaris10

Hello Guys,
and good day to everybody.
I am battling to redirect console on this V20Z 'beast', and would really like to know if it's possible to 'see' CMOS settings from Solaris10 point of view.

Machine is remote and I can't easily go and reboot the box and press F2 etc...

So is there a way to see what is currently set in CMOS from Solaris prompt ?

I appreciate your help.

Cheers

I think you're looking for the eeprom command. You can view and change the Open Boot Prom settings, the SunFire server equivalent of a PC CMOS.

Carl,

thanks for your reply. It's not eeprom command. This machine is like a PC, it's' x86 architecture. And Solaris is also x86, of course. When it boots , it boots Phenix BIOS first, then Solaris kicks in.

What I am after is this PC like CMOS settings, but if possible from Solaris prompt.

Anyway, thanks again

I think you can go to /boot dir and edit some files there.
Think the file is something like bootenv.
