I am using one configuration file for reading some time out values.The format of the file is
A.Type = Number
A.Val = 2000
B.Type = Number
B.Val = 4000

can somoene please tell me how to tell snmpwalk how many seconds it has to timeout?
i searched the web for this but i can't find it.
i'm incorporating this into a script, and I'd like to have snmpwalk timeout within a certain amount of seconds.

I have a nice little script that i have written in Perl, in it use RSH ( yes i know it is i should being using ssh, but it i secure network it is being run on) the idea of the script it that it will RSH into a machine and then follow out a command, the problem i am running into is if the... We are facing difficulties in ftp'ing large files.For large file transfer using FTP, the control session gets timed out where as the the data session is active and transfers the file completely. Is there a way to make the control session active as long as data session?
