Sun enterprise 420R boot issue

Hi,
I am using sun enterprise 420R server. Problem is on the monitor i am not able to see anything. I tried Serial connection, on terminal(using serial) i could see that POST(power on start tests) tests are being done, after that "timeout waiting for arp rarp packet" message keep displaying forever and it never comes up.
Boot device is set to net.
By pressing CONTROL+B also not able to get ok prompt.
i could not disable the POST tests by pressing STOP+A.

Can anyone pls help how to change boot device to disk and how to get ok prompt.

Thanks in advance
kk

On serial line stop+a is not working. If I remember right, a ~# should do the trick. If you are connected via a RSC card, there should be a break command from within the controller.
Also, while using serial connection, make sure there is no monitor and external keyboard connected. And check that the key on the front panel is not in "locked" position!

boot-device change, help!!

Thank you, now i could get the ok prompt with break.

one more prob. i have is, not able to change the boot-device.
It was set to net and i have changed to disk with "setenv boot-device disk" command at ok prompt.

when i give "printenv boot-device" it shows disk, but again it is trying to boot from net

after post tests it shows like below

Code:
Boot device : net File and args
timeout waiting for arp rarp packet boot net
.
.
.

can some help how to change the boot-device to disk.

Thanks in advance,
kk

I think "screen" parameter may be wrong. See this thread from sometime ago

ALOM - Console -

Where DukeNuke2 knew the answer and put me right on this.
