System got crashed.

Hi Admins,

In my local Vmware system i have installed solaris but while getting my root disk mirrored in svm I changed the vfstab entries and rebooted the server , the server got crashed, and now the root file systems and other filesystems are crashed.
Please help me in recovering this.

I'd suggest the following (if all you've done is the metaroot, lockfs and reboot parts of a typical UFS mirroring procedure):

* Boot from DVD media or network
* Mount the original root disk at /a
* Revert /a/etc/vfstab to its previous state (so it references the original unmirrored root disk)
* Reboot the server

I'm presuming you're running Solaris 10 with UFS root here.

If that doesn't work, or isn't what you want, then we need:

* Operating System release
* Commands you issued prior to the system failing
* Output/error messages from the console

Cheers,
ZB
