Increase concurrent logins?
Hi all,

I've been tasked to create a robot account across a bunch of SunOS servers, amongst the requirements for this account is this condition:
Concurrent access requirement

  • The robot account shall have the ability to create at least ten(10) concurrent access sessions. In order to faciliatate this, the concurrent access attribute shall be set to 10.
I have no clue what "attribute" they are referring to, and haven't been able to turn up much on the google or searching the threads here. I don't know how many concurrent sessions Solaris will let you have by default either. Anyone know much about this?

chvg -g on Concurrent VG

Hi, on normal (non concurrent) vgs, it's possible to extend a lun on san-storage , and use chvg -g to rewrite vgda, and use disks with the new size for lvm operations is the same procedure possbile on a hacmp-cluster (2 node in our case) with concurrent vgs in active/passive mode? cheers... NAME

       userdel - Delete a user account and related files

SYNOPSIS

       userdel [-r] login

DESCRIPTION

       The  userdel  command modifies the system account files, deleting all entries that refer to login.  The named user must exist.  The options
       which apply to the userdel command are:

       -r     Files in the user's home directory will be removed along with the home directory itself and the user's mail spool.  Files located in
	      other file systems will have to be searched for and deleted manually.

FILES

       /etc/passwd - user account information
       /etc/shadow - secure user account information
       /etc/group - group information

CAVEATS

       userdel will not allow you to remove an account if the user is currently logged in.  You must kill any running processes which belong to an
       account that you are deleting.  You may not remove any NIS attributes on an NIS client.	This must be performed on the NIS server.
