How to enable Serial port on ILOM, when Network Port is enabled in parallel

Hi Everyone,

In my environment, I have few T5220. On the iLOM Management Card, I have both Network and Serial port are cabled, I don't have any issues while I try to connect using Network Management port, but when I try to connect the serial port for the same server which is actually connected through a terminal server, authentication to the terminal server is successful and conformed port is opened, but cant able to view the console of the server.

So how do I need to make sure to enable the serial port on iLOM.

Thanks

the serial port on the server is enabled by default. maybe your terminal server settings are wrong or you are using a wrong cable.

if you can, check with a notebook with a serial cisco cable (the baby blue ones) and a terminal software (putty, teraterm, hyperterm, tip, ...) if there is output from the serial server port. if this works you have to search on the TS side or the cables.
