I'm not sure but if this is true or not this is not the adapter.
You need a traditional both terminated 9 pin RS-232 (DB-9) or traditional 25 pin RS-232 (DB-25) cables

In your showenvironment output, check the disk information

Once you will recycle th HOST the post output is of importance.

Can you try recycling it again and see what it says regarding the disk during the POST.

I will post the output but I have the disks out. They are unformatted as this is a new arrival to our shop.

one thing you can try is to physically remove the rsc card!!
and connect directly to the onboard serial port.

i think your problem is that the output- and input-device is set to ttya/b... this can be the reason because you don't see the output on the rsc card!

FInally got to the OBP via the below cable setup as loaned from a friend at my last company. Got the OS installed. I appreciate everyone's help. I was close to trying beta17's seemingly workable idea when I got the cables.
