Open port on Solaris 10

Hi All,

I am installing Infosphere (ETL tool) on solaris 10.

One of the requirement is to open multiple ports for different apps that will be installed. I ran netstat -n | grep 9080 (,etc) but that did not return anything.

I have attached the requirement. Can anyone guide me about how to open these ports?

I would appreciate any suggestion.

Thanks
Sumeet

What firewall are you running on this server?

How do I check if firewall is there on the server?

Telnet from any other remote m/c in the network is going through fine.

Thanks

I would hazard a guess that you have no firewall running.

Have you fired up Infosphere to see if any services/daemons start listening on the described ports?
