OBP update
hi
all i am using sun blade 150 (sparc) running solaris 5.10 on that. How can i update the OBP firmware? where cai download the latest (compatible) version for this hardware?

OBP updates are nomally supplied as patches from sites like sunsolve etc.

take a look on there using the search term "OBP" & "flash update", there are instructions on how to apply the patches in the readme.

Edit: Just had a quick look on there now: the patch id seems to be:119235

Unless you have a support contract with Oracle/Sun, patches and updates are no longer available to you.

BTW, there is an OBP write-protect jumper on the systemboards of the SB100 and SB150 systems. JP2 is just under the edge of the drive bay frame, right at the front right corner of the board and next to the NVRAM chip. The README file of the flash update mentions it.

Just to add on, the steps which are followed for firmware update varies from server to server.
