Operating Systems Solaris can't bypass password authentication

can't bypass password authentication

I can able to SFTP from my web server unix to apps server unix end. but the other way from APPS server to Web server is still asking me the password. I have done same procedure both side. still i am having same problem. Any one help on this. thanks, regards

Your question is not clear.

1. server1 keys -> server2 in [login directory]/.ssh directory
2. server2 keys -> server1 in [login directory]/.ssh directory

did you move the keys both ways? The two key files should be completely different.
Did you check permissions on the login directory on BOTH servers? .ssh directory?

You can use the server that lets you log in with no password as the model to set up the one that doesn't work.

same model servers

both are sunx2200 model only. I will try again on monday and let you know the outcome.thanks. regards.

If these are the only two servers with password-less authentication set with one another, then before giving it a retry, clear the ~/.ssh/known_hosts file.
