Facing problem while doing FTp to solaris server

Hi All,

I am facing problem while doing FTp to solaris server through Windows XP machine.
showing msg as follows
Code:
220 matrix FTP server ready.
User (*.*.*.*:(none)): Sun
331 Password required for Sun.
Password:
530 Login incorrect.
Login failed.
ftp> bye

also while doing vi or running command as "last" giving error as

/var/adm/wtmpx: I/O error

Kindly suggest..................

The account called "Sun" needs a correct password. Suppose the password is "farkle", then at the password prompt you type the exact word: farkle.

Or are you trying to run ftp from inside a script?

I m trying to do FTP from command line....

As previously i m able to do FTP , but in between I pull out server from LAN and again connected it.

After that facing this problem....

As considering to passwd i m typing correct passwd... I tried out with 2-3 users still its not connecting.........
