Gnome in Solaris 9

Hi

My problem is that I kind of opened gnome environment from the cde environment and now I do not know how to turn it off so any suggestions will be much appreciated.

and I am running Solaris 9 as root user
I am also a beginner in unix

Thanks in advance

The login window has a chooser that should allow you to select CDE back.

Yes that is correct but my problem is that when I enter the cde session it opens the gnome inside it by default

so then when it is open and ready to use I can minimize (gnome) it like as if it is a program but unfortunately I don't know how to close it

as if gnome is a sub environment in the cde environment

Are you able to reboot your system and try again before we proceed to check on the issue?
