My system is SUN Solaris 5.6 and one of the disks on the server got crashed. Here are the details
this is the output of the metastat. Now the disk c0t3d0 is corrupted.Now
according to output the slices from this disk are used to create metadevices d28 and d31. It means these stripes are also corrupted.
this is the df -k listing
model1 and model2 are my database schemas which i am not able to access.Now The disk c0t3d0 is being replaced.
now how the mirrors and the stripes be brought to the same state.
can some one provide me with the step by step details.Its urgent and any help will be much appreciated.

just realize that your disk's will be different and not all the commands may apply (step by step) to you. adjust where needed

In my local Vmware system i have installed solaris but while getting my root disk mirrored in svm I changed the vfstab entries and rebooted the server , the server got crashed, and now the root file systems and other filesystems are crashed.

I created a bootable CD from Slax and can now access my crashed HD files. Problem is I can't move them to my USB HD even though the device is recognized. From what I have learned, I must "mount" the old HD and the good USB drive and then enter a copy command to permit the transfer (many GB's).
