Instead of vmstat, you should run "prstat -Z" on the global zone to figure out how the memory is used by your zones. There is no dedicated swap for zones, the virtual memory is global.
Have you capped the physical, swap or locked memory for that zone ?
What Solaris update are you using ?

Ok, I'll use the prstat -Z for the next slow response time. Since this doesn't occur every day.

I already use capped for physical, locked, and swap.

I'm not sure that we use any solaris update, currently the OS version is sunOS 5.10.

I don't recall if I ever mention this, but the swap -s in my global zone is works fine, the value of pages swapped in/out is not 0, meanwhile in container (in which the running out of memory occur) the value of pages swapped in/out from command swap -s is 0.

Ah! Malloc failed. That means you don't have enough swap to back up the allocation request (configuration issue) or you ran out of vitual address space (most likely a programming issue).

Hereby the capped-memory setting in my zone:

        [locked: 8G]

I set the limit to unlimited.

What are your kernel / project settings within your zones ??

whats the output for :-

and

Sounds to me you need to up a few of your project settings.

pooladm command results on 8 cpu's all online.
