Solaris 8 PAM question

How do we know if PAM is turned on? I think that there is no process or anything that we can check for. Anyway to ensure that rather than doing a configuration and "physical" testing on a machine?

PAM is a Solaris internal framework that can't be turned off.

To a client. Im ok with your answer and I knew about it. Some people out there think that they are too smart to ask such questions. But as vendors, we need to provide them a proper answer and not a one line stmt. I explained to them personally but to no satisfactory. So pls help
