How to install flash archive over the netwrok

Hi Gurus

I've to install the flash archive over the network. The archive is created and directory has been shared, what else all i have to do. Once i go to install option on other system and choose FTP( flash archive only) .

Will appreciate if some one can help me or directed me towards some link , document.

Thanks

The only way is to use the solaris jumpstart method.
Your profile should look like this.

install_type flash_install
archive_location nfs masterip:/flash/flasharchive
pratitioning explicit
filesys c0t0d0s0 free /
filesys c0t0d0s1 2048 swap
filesys c0t0d0s3 4096 /var

You do not need to set-up a jumpstart server to install Solaris from a flar archive, a CD or DVD is enough to start the installation.

What do you mean with "there" in "Install from there?"

Its either NFS or FTP. When installing using the flar method, you are given the choice of what protocol to use.
