it sounds like you are going for a solaris job, i am not a big fan of solaris myself, but have been in need of some info on the subject...
you can download the o/s from suns site to play with if you have the hardware or virtual lab (free vmware, etc)
the thing that saved me was the unix rosetta stone - here is one site

but search for unix+rosetta and there are many mirror sites
in town, we have a bargain book store which i found several books on solaris at a very cheap price (and also served my book obsession) - bk/borders usually sells discounted books now too
if i were interviewing for a solaris position, i would def hit the install/admin tools sections from
