Unmirroring a RAID 1 Root Volume on Solaris

Fairly often you need to create a software mirror using SVM on Solaris, less often you need to create a SVM mirror of your root partition, and rarely you want to unmirror your root partition on Solaris. This blog describes how to unmirror a RAID 1 root volume on Solaris.
