Advisory Check 2.20 (Default branch)

Advchk (Advisory Check) is a tool for monitoringthe security of installed software. It gatherssecurity advisories using RSS, RDF, or XML feeds,compares them against a list of known software,and alerts you if you're vulnerable. Advchkleverages your system's package manager fordetecting software. Software installed on remotesystems can be monitored using SSH to run thepackage manager or by using NMAP scans.Supported package managers: pkg_info, pkginfo, dpkg, RPM, LPP, Portage, inst, MacPorts, Fink, and swlist.License: BSD License (revised)Changes:
This release adds support for HP-UX swlist(1m) packages. It adds 6 feeds to advchk-addfeeds.sh. Some SSH stuff has been added.

       XML::RSS::Headline::UsePerlJournals - XML::RSS::Headline Example Subclass

SYNOPSIS

       You can also subclass XML::RSS::Headline to tweak the rss content to your liking.  In this example. I change the headline to remove the
       date/time and add the Use Perl Journal author's ID.  Also in this use Perl; rss feed you get the actual link to the journal entry, rather
       than the link just to the user's journal.  (meaning that the journal URLs contain the entry's ID)

	   use XML::RSS::Feed;
	   use XML::RSS::Headline::UsePerlJournals;
	   use LWP::Simple qw(get);
