Slam-Edit 3.3.5 (Default branch)

Image Slam is a mature IC Layout editor with the ability to edit very large designs (such as stream files larger than 10GB). Novel features include threading for redraw, support for displaying on multiple X servers simultaneously, and a Tcl interface to the database for user extensibility. The system is a library based system with multi-user support. Programmable structures (P-Cells) are available in Tcl. The editor includes gds input and output. This release adds additional data compression when converting stream files for viewing only. The new compression reduces memory usage by 5% as a minimum, and 50% or more for highly repetitive data. This release also adds a native Linux kernel 2.6 64 bit platform in addition to the existing 64-bit Linux 2.4 kernel. A number of other minor GUI changes and bugfixes were made.Image
