Hi friends

I need to get what ever line number i want


Supplier.profile
-----------------
SFTP/INVTRAN
SFTP/INVSNAP
GATEWAY/INVTRAN
GATEWAY/INVSNAP

----------------



exec 0<$Supplier.profile
while read LINE
do
echo $LINE
done
------------------------------

it prints line by line but i need what ever line i want
like

line4 -> GATEWAY/INVSNAP
OR
LINE3 -> GATEWAY/INVTRAN

is there any way to get like that

How do you know which line you want?

If you know you want line 3,

sed -n 3p Supplier.profile

# 3

if you want to see line numbers for all the lines:

[Solved] Problem in reading a file line by line till it reaches a white line
