getting colored output in perl

Hello,

I am scripting in perl and I need to get my output of the "print" statement in color. Please tell me how to go ahead.

Colored directories

I just updated to Lion and when I went to use the terminal, all the directories were black. It used to be that the directories were blue? and some things were green and then files were black.
