like with ./script
but when i'm launching it by cron tab it work at half only.

Due to some limitations in one of the vendor software, I am forced to output the command to exec and then run it from there.
For example..
$(echo "/usr/bin/cp a.dat b.dat") # This works
However,

I would like to list files: ls *.hdf
But I would like a copy of the output directed to the screen, but also APPENDED to a text file: test.txt
I have tried:
ls *.hdf | tee test.txt
