password in ascript
how to set password for a script

i have a script called logscript. i want to set the username and password for that.

when i run the script it should ask me the username and passowrd .

any idea in that

which language and os ? Where the user and pass should be stored ?

the lanuage is k shell and os is aix 3

and the username and passowrd should be stored inside the script

I'm tasked to change a user's password on multiple Linux systems (RH v3). I though copying the encrypted password from one Linux /etc/shadow file to another would work but I was wrong.
