thus this string which is generated by mailx should be a hyperlink.

Most e-mail clients will recognize this string as mail address, based on "@" symbol, and will generate hyperlink automatically. If you want to be sure, you need to create HTML page with "mailto:" link embedded inside, and then mail the file to a user.
