My input is:

In the search pattern, ( and ) and . and @ are special RE, and need to be escaped \( and \) and \. and \@

In the shell script, i need to remove the special charater "\" with "\\". For example, i need to replace "D:\FXT\ABC.TXT" with "D:\\FXT\\ABC.TXT".
However, when trying to do something like , i get the below error :-

I've an xml file with special characetr 'TM' (trade mark sign). The issue is that I am not able to get the symbol 'TM'(trade mark sign) on unix. It displays '?' instead.
