sms using mailx
the mailx command can be used to send mails.
can i use the mailx command for sending sms to my mobile number in india??
Is it possible?
If yes how? If its not mailx then wht is the command for that?

Yes its possible
Yes its possible .. its same as sending mails ... but the service provider must have webline enabled. Then if u send mails to 919882233312@service-provider.com then it will be received in mobile as sms.

Wht is this webline enabled ?? and how will i come to know whether he is webline enabled or not??? I'm usinig ideacellular services

Just call ideacellular customer service and ask them about the same, they will be able to tell you whether its enabled or not. Some service providers asks to pay some monthly rental to get the service enabled.

Just call your mobile customer service and ask them about the same, they will be able to tell you whether its enabled or not. Some service providers asks to pay some monthly rental to get the service enabled.
