awk with If then else.

I have a file with following format.
Code:
Line1: 11
Line2: 2
Line3: 10

I need to count the numbers and exit if the total count is greater than zero.

This need to go into a 3rd party scheduler, so it has to be in one liner.

i tried something like following, but iam getting the same result for what ever the count be.

Code:
awk -F':' '{ TotRwCnt += $2 } END {{if($TotRwCnt!=0); exit 1}}' /path/filename.txt

There should be no semicolon between if and exit.

--
This would then provide the same functionality:
Code:
awk -F: '$2>0{exit 1}' file

Unless negative values are also allowed.

Code:
# $var = take field number var ...
# use without $ if needed value of var

# this scan full input file
awk -F':' '{ TotRwCnt += $2 } END { if (TotRwCnt!=0) exit 1 }' /path/filename.txt

But Scrutinizer solution is nicer - exit when you find > 0 value. No need to check more.

"Programmer version":
Code:
BEGIN { FS=":" }
{ if ($2 > 0 ) exit 1 }

"Awk version":, added some extra awk example to use block ideas.
Code:
BEGIN { FS=":"
           OFS=":"
         }

# style is
block rule  { block code
               }

#
NF < 2 { # not enough flds, skip rest rules and take next line - faster
                         next
                    }
$2 > 0            {  # > 0 but not exit yet, only print
                        print ">0:",$2
                     }

$2 > 0 || $2 < 0 { # no echo < 0 values in previous block
                        exit 1
                     }

$2 == 0   {
                #something ....
                #if no next, then also next block is done
             }

{ # default rule for rest lines - if not exit line handling in previous blocks
             print "???:",$0
}

It is even simpler than that:
If $2 only has non-negative values try:
Code:
awk '$2 > 0 {exit 1}' /path/filename.txt

or if $2 can contain negative vaues, try:
Code:
awk '{tot += $2}END{exit (tot != 0)}' /path/filename.txt

or you could take your original code:
Code:
awk -F':' '{ TotRwCnt += $2 } END {{if($TotRwCnt!=0); exit 1}}' /path/filename.txt

and remove all of the characters marked in red.
