I try to replace a string of characters in a file (MyFile.txt) by a multiline value of the variable "Myvar":
$ cat MyFile.txt
DESCRIPTION '@TargetTable SCHEMA'

The content of Myvar:

need to find the postion where "SYSTEM.dbf" starts, so I tried:
LOCATION=/db1/data/GLIDER/SYSTEM.dbf
$ expr index $LOCATION SYSTEM
expr: syntax error
$ expr index "$LOCATION" SYSTEM
expr: syntax error
