Shell question

Hallo everyone,

I have this code:

Code:
DBNAME=DB_001 EXPORTPATH=./work   EXPORTDATUM=${1} EXPORTSQL=$(dirname $0)/export_script.sql EXPORTSQL_TMP=${EXPORTPATH}/export.sql READYFILE=${EXPORTPATH}/ready EXPORTFILE_PREFIX=file.csv   ## Prüfungen if [ ! -d ${EXPORTPATH} ]; then echo "not found" exit 1 fi

I am asking, if the if command will ALWAYS run in "not found" because there
is still no directory "work"? Isnt it necessary to mkdir work first?

Thanks for your help.

Regards,

RatnaSmilie

In your first code segment, there is no if statement. The string that looks like an if statement is part of the comment that starts with:
Code:
## Prüfungen if

and continues to the end of the line.

Your second code segment should print:
Code:
not found

if it is run in a directory where there is no directory named work.
