unable to configure NIS client server
Dear all,

I am using solaris 10 OS.
I configured NIS server and i also configured NIS client server but when i use the command ypinit -s sunserv1 [NIS server(sunserv1)] in NIS client it is showing me the below error.

Enumerates maps from sunserv1. please check that it is running.

I have never heard of a NIS client server. A system can be both a NIS client and a NIS server. Is that what you trying to achieve?

ya i am taking about NIS client. I am new to solaris 10. I think NIS client and NIS server will be on different machine which are in network.. Please advice.
