Above part, $3=$NF -> means last field replaced in 3rd field and printing other fields NF--
how it is avoiding last field.?
NF-- decrements the NF (Number of fields) this causes awk will throw away the last field and rebuild the input line with OFS separator. This happens whenever you update any of the $1, $2, $3 ... $NF fields or the NF variable directly.
